My name is Patti Woodworth-Norris, and I live in the beautiful Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Canada with my husband, two wonderful sons and a menagerie of four-legged friends.
I have been practicing massage therapy for 25 years, which has given me the unique opportunity to learn the effects of the mind-body connection on people's health and their quality of life. This, coupled with challenges with my own mental and physical health, has led me to look for effective solutions to some of life's challenges.
My mid-life crisis came in the form of anxiety, depression, chronic headaches, and lower back pain. My quality of life had deteriorated to the point that everyday was a struggle. I would wake up every morning after a fitful night's sleep, and wonder how I was going to get to the end of the day. Sounds great, huh?
After struggling like this for several years, a chance google search led me to the work of Dr. John Sarno, and his diagnosis of Tension Myoneural Syndrome, or TMS. Finally, I felt that I was starting to uncover the cause of my struggles. Dr. Sarno's theory is based on the idea that physical and mental symptoms, in the absence of any acute disease state, are the result of repressed emotional issues. This led me to several years of studying TMS, and developing some mechanisms that helped me to move towards a better quality of life.
As I did the TMS work, I continued to search for other ways to improve my life, which led me to study EFT, NLP, Magnetic Mind, and the work of Dr. Joe Dispenza. The application of what I have learned has helped me to regain my health and my lust for life. I have been studying this work intensely for several years now, and am happy to share that I feel like myself again, just a little older and much wiser! The anxiety, depression and chronic pain are things of the past.
Having experienced the desolation that often accompanies the mental and physical challenges of midlife, and finding my way back to the light, I am excited to help you become the best version of yourself!
